6 January 2017 – WongPartnership has emerged as the top legal adviser to Lenders to Singapore Borrowers (by volume as well as market share) in Bloomberg's Global Legal Adviser League Table report for 2016. WongPartnership pipped 14 other local and international law firms to first place with deals amounting close to US$3.8 billion (about S$5.45 billion). The Firm also gained 8.5% in market share from 2015 to close 2016 with the highest market share of 23% by a single firm of the Singapore Borrower loans market.
In the APAC ex-Japan Loans market, WongPartnership also scored highly, being the only Singapore law firm to be ranked in the Legal Adviser (Borrower) league table by deal count and the top-ranking Singapore law firm in the Legal Adviser (Lender) league table by volume and market share.
The Bloomberg Global Legal Adviser League Tables represent the best arrangers, bookrunners and advisors across a spectrum of deal types, including loans, bonds, equity and M&A transactions. The League Tables give financial experts strategic insight into market movements and key growths across sector, geography and business prospect.
