On 6 September 2024, the Ministry of Commerce and the National Development and Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China, with approval from the State Council and Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, published the Negative List for Foreign Direct Investment Industry (2024 version) (2024 Negative List). The 2024 Negative List, which will repeal the Negative List for Foreign Direct Investment Industry (2021 version) promulgated on 27 December 2021 (2021 Negative List), will come into force on 1 November 2024.
This update briefly highlights the key differences between the 2021 Negative List and the 2024 Negative List.
