With the passing of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Bill (“Bill”) in Parliament on 7 April 2020, we provide updates on the impact it brings on non-residential leases/licences in Singapore. The Bill provides temporary relief from legal action for certain categories of contracts, one of which is leases or licences for non-residential immovable properties. This update outlines the relief/measures and highlights some implications for landlords and tenants.
