WongPartnership LLP helps to raise over $388,000 for four charities from its virtual run to commemorate the Firm's 30th Anniversary

Singapore, 13 June 2022 – WongPartnership LLP is delighted to announce that working together with our colleagues, clients and friends, we have helped to raise over $388,000 for four charities through donations made on Giving.sg. The fundraising campaign that took place from 1 to 31 May 2022 was held in conjunction with the Firm's first ever virtual run as part of the Firm's 30th anniversary celebrations. The virtual run saw more than 1,400 participants cover over 130,000km in total distance through walking/running to help raise funds for four charities, namely, AWWA, ISCOS ReGen Fund, Lakeside Family Services and Singapore Repertory Theatre.

Our fundraising efforts will see each of the four charities receiving at least $75,000 for their cause. Additionally, with the government's dollar for dollar matching for funds raised between 1 to 31 May 2022, we understand that total funding for the four charities may reach over $776,000 (with each charity receiving a final funding of at least $150,000 each). This anticipated funding far exceeds our initial goal of raising $300,000 for the four charities.

Over the month of May, various teams at WongPartnership partnered each charity to organise fundraising and publicity initiatives to raise the profile of each charity. Initiatives included runs around the Marina Bay area, social media campaigns that involved individuals sharing memorable pictures representing their childhood, and a visit to a community home to interact with seniors.
