Felix LEE is a Partner in the Banking & Finance Practice. His main areas of practice include syndicated loans, club deals, bilateral loans, acquisition financing, green / sustainable financing, subscription financing, property financing, project financing, cross-border transactions and security arrangements and documentation. He has also advised on standard forms for consumer credit transactions and debt restructuring.
Felix graduated from the National University of Singapore and is admitted to the Singapore Bar and the Roll of Solicitors of England & Wales.
Significant transactions that Felix has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:
- A club of lenders led by DBS Bank Limited, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, Singapore Branch, Malayan Banking Berhad, Singapore Branch, and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Singapore Branch as mandated lead arrangers in relation to a S$1.8 billion green financing granted to BFC Development LLP, involving two commercial buildings and an underground retail mall known as Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 1, Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 2 and Marina Bay Link Mall respectively.
- Nesta Investment Holdings Limited (which is owned by a consortium comprising HOPU Logistics Investment Management Co., Ltd., Hillhouse Capital Logistics Management, Ltd., SMG Eastern Limited, Bank of China Group Investment Limited and Vanke Real Estate (Hong Kong) Company Limited) as Singapore counsel in the grant of US$4 billion term loan and revolving facilities in relation to Nesta Investment Holdings Limited's acquisition of Global Logistic Properties Limited.
- Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P., IBC Capital Limited (the "Offeror"), in the US$1.1 billion financing relating to the S$1.4 billion acquisition by the Offeror of all the issued and paid-up ordinary shares in the capital of Goodpack Limited.
- A syndicate of lenders in a US$551 million financing granted to subsidiaries of ARA Asset Management Limited, for the acquisition of a portfolio of 38 hotels under the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House franchise across 21 states in the United States.
- A syndicate of offshore lenders in the extension of S$305.6 million and US$86.78 million loan facilities granted to ECW Treasure Pte. Ltd. and Zhejiang Fuzhou E-Commerce Co., Ltd, inter alia, to refinance existing debt obligations of the group and fund the acquisition of Fuzhou E-Commerce, an integrated e-commerce logistics asset located in Hangzhou.
- The lenders in the grant of a S$1.1 billion facility to Singapore LNG Corporation Pte. Ltd. ("SLNG") to finance the repayment of certain government loans that were extended to SLNG for the development and construction of the initial phase of the Singapore LNG Terminal located on Jurong Island, Singapore.
