Jerry TAN is a Partner in the Corporate Real Estate Practice.
 
His main practice areas are commercial and residential purchases and sales, property finance, property development, property advisory work, commercial and residential leases and other landlord and tenant matters and property-related corporate transactions.

Jerry has been been recognised as a Rising Star for Real Estate in asialaw Profiles – The Guide to Asia-Pacific's Leading Law and he is also recognised in Real Estate Law in Best Lawyers. 

Jerry graduated from the National University of Singapore where he was an Overall Dean's Lister. He won the F.A. Chua Prize for the Best Student in Criminal Procedure in his Postgraduate Practical Law Course. Jerry is admitted to the Singapore Bar.
 

Significant transactions that Jerry has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:

  • ESR Funds Management (S) Limited, as manager of ESR-REIT, in relation to the S$ 1.4 billion proposed merger with ARA LOGOS Logistics Trust by way of a trust scheme of arrangement.
  • Frasers Centrepoint Asset Management Ltd. (the manager of Frasers Centrepoint Trust) and Frasers Property Limited in the joint acquisition of a 50 per cent stake in Gold Ridge Pte. Ltd., which holds the suburban retail mall NEX, from Mercatus Tres Pte. Ltd. (a subsidiary of Mercatus Co-operative Limited) for S$ 652.5 million.
  • Wallich Residence Pte. Ltd, TPC Commercial Pte. Ltd. and TPC Hotel Pte. Ltd. (together the “Borrowers”) in the grant of loan facilities of up to S$1.54 billion to the Borrowers secured on the integrated development (which includes office, residential, hotel and retail components) in Tanjong Pagar.
  • The landlord, 8 Cross Street Padref Investments Ltd in its leases at Manulife Tower, a prime commercial building located in the heart of the Central Business District of Singapore.
  • United Overseas Bank Limited and Industrial & Commercial Property (S) Pte. Ltd. in the lease of Singapore Exchange Centre, a twin-tower office building located at Shenton Way, Singapore, to the Singapore Exchange, Asia's pioneering central clearing house which offers a fully integrated value chain from trading and clearing to settlement and depository services.
  • UOL Group Limited, one of Singapore’s most established public-listed property companies in the development and sale of units in developments such as Seventy Saint Patrick’s at St Patrick’s Road, Archipelago at Bedok Reservoir Road and Riverbank@Fernvale at Fernvale Close.
