Matters of significance in which Laura has been involved in include acting for the following:

• A main contractor on claims against its specialist subcontractor for defects in products supplied in relation to power supply works / upgrading power supply works in respect of a rail transport project in Singapore
• A contractor against the employer and other members of a consortium in respect of disputes arising out of a power plant project in Southeast Asia involving issues such as delays and extensions of time and apportionment of liability for delays
• An employer on claims for alleged wrongful termination and consequent loss and damages, as well as counterclaims for delays, disruption, material breaches of contract and various DAB decisions concerning the same in relation to a construction of a hydropower plant project in Southeast Asia
• A main contractor in an ICC arbitration with the Employer over various claims including that for variations, extensions of time, prolongation costs and recovery of liquidated damages relating to a construction of a waste treatment project in the Middle East.
• An owner of a gas facility relating to a workplace incident involving a flash fire at the gas room of the facility in Singapore.
• Various developers and main contractors in arbitrations and in the High Court involving issues of delay, disruption, prolongation and/or defects relating to residential / mixed residential developments. Advised and acted for main contractors and sub-contractors in various adjudications, both as claimant and respondent under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2004.
